Your new company

• This company is a well-established market leader within the automobile industry and offers a supportive work environment where career progressions and development are actively encouraged. As a legal counsel, you will be providing legal advice and support to SEA offices with regards to their operational agreements/contracts and attending to the group compliance and regulatory requirements.

Your new role
As a passionate and adept individual, your primary responsibility is to

• Support the senior legal counsel and head of legal with regards to drafting, review and negotiating of contracts with specialise area in operational agreements, contracts, compliant letters, or customer lawyer latter.
• To review and draft witness statements, statement of defence and other court related papers.
• Partner closely with internal/external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, divisional and corporate policies and guidelines and identify any gaps in the compliance subject matters of the business.
• Support the Compliance manager in drafting out a set of guidelines which can be operationalised with regards to the business unit.
• Build and maintain a proactive and constructive relationship with business and functional stakeholders, working with the Compliance Manager to offer advise on employment law and compliances related matters.

What you’ll need to succeed

• 7-8 years PQE
• Called to the Singapore bar.
• Solid experience in drafting, reviewing lease, tenancy agreements, supply agreements, services agreements, NDA agreements and any miscellaneous operational agreement.
• Committed and meticulous with good eye for details.
• Self-starter with strong initiative and excellent time management skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
• Excellent command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong & effective interpersonal and communication skills.
