Requirements

\xc2\xb7 GCE \xe2\x80\x98N\xe2\x80\x99/\xe2\x80\x99O\xe2\x80\x99/\xe2\x80\x99A\xe2\x80\x99 Level/Nitec/Higher Nitec

\xc2\xb7 PC literate

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in English required. May need to sit for language competency test before deployment.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Mother Tongue languages (such as Chinese, Malay and Tamil) is required for working on non-English materials. May need to sit for language competency test before deployment (min. 1 pax for each of the Mother Tongue languages).

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in language includes understanding of the language script (such as traditional, simplified Chinese, Hanyu Pinyin, Jawi, Tamil, etc.) as well as data input in the script.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (such as Excel or Word) is preferred.



Administrative support works for cataloguing of physical and digital materials

\xc2\xb7 Retrieve, check and sort physical materials for cataloguing.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in checking bibliographic data and making simple amendments to the data according to standards and requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Tracking of materials and send Work-InProgress items to next process owner.

\xc2\xb7 Search and retrieve records, digital files and the Internet for the preparation of metadata for batch ingestion.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in checking metadata records and doing basic or simple data entry of descriptive information for digital resources.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in quality checks on web content for national heritage preservation purposes (such as checks on URLs crawled and downloaded copies of government online publications).
