Requirements

\xc2\xb7 GCE \xe2\x80\x98N\xe2\x80\x99/\xe2\x80\x99O\xe2\x80\x99/\xe2\x80\x99A\xe2\x80\x99 Level/Nitec/Higher Nitec

\xc2\xb7 General administrative skills

\xc2\xb7 Comfortable with handling large number of library materials and lifting heavy carton boxes. May also be required to access higher racks via platform ladder or step stools.



Packing of library materials

\xc2\xb7 Collect and sort library materials by libraries, categories and sub-categories.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare the sorted materials for delivery to libraries which includes transferring of packed boxes to designated pallet, stretch-wrap full pallets and updating of stock cards.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain records of the packed library materials by categories.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare Delivery Orders and ensure correct number of pallets are released to transporter.

\xc2\xb7 Pick and pack library materials according to the pick lists provided and check that the library materials are in good physical condition.

\xc2\xb7 Scan library materials picked for delivery at the NLB borrowing station provided and pack them into bundles as indicated in the pick lists.

\xc2\xb7 Print mailing labels and ensure that all packing and labelling are done accurately to avoid error in deliveries.

\xc2\xb7 Receive returned library materials and scan them at the Book Sorting Station.

\xc2\xb7 Sort the returned library materials into the respective package numbers and shelve at the correct location on the racks.

\xc2\xb7 Update the package numbers issued and returned in the master list.

\xc2\xb7 Use of pallet jack to transfer pallets for storage, shift pallets to maximise storage and move loaded pallets to the holding area for delivery collection. Ensure safety in operating the pallet jack.
