Job Overview:
The Logistics Specialist will work with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Freight Forwarders, and carriers. You will be responsible for ensuring Freight Plans align to Contract Manufacturing sites production and fulfilment plans and communicate freight network constraints back to the organization. This position will also develop weekly/monthly freight plans as an input to the S&OP process and be responsible for managing reporting related to logistics under management. This position is based in Singapore and reports to the Senior Supply Planning Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in system or process improvement initiatives to ensure the function has the best tools
• Responsible for complex fulfilment and freight plans including new product launches, may be embedded with project teams
• Review and revise freight plans as required by changes in the sales forecast or manufacturing schedules
• Act as a liaison between Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Freight Forwarders, and carriers; communicating and troubleshooting issues, problems, and concerns
• Continuously review the supply plans, inventory reports, and operations plans to provide guidance to the logistics partners
• Assist in the expediting finished goods, when necessary, to support customer order fulfilment
• Recommend and implement transportation actions when products are in out-of-stock or allocation situations

#LI-EL1 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar field required; APICS certification and/or affiliation a plus
• 5+ years of experience in freight planning / scheduling / fulfilment role (preferably for a Logistics provider or carrier) using SAP systems is preferred
• Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel
• Experience leading projects
• Warehouse/inventory experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• ERP/MRP Systems Planning experience highly preferred
• Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills
• Ability to be flexible as required and communicate proactively with global partners required
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure in stressful situations
