Job Description

Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates
Research and propose ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
Evaluate budgets and expenditures.
Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
Ensure all operations are compliant to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
Support with maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans and similar data.
Review and analyze program effectiveness, suggest and execute on time improvements and corrective actions.
Investigate non standard charges and activities and coordinate on the issue resolution and proper charging of charges
Keep abreast of new regulations and guidelines in local customs and international guidelines
Identify opportunities to minimize cost-to-serve through process improvements Knowledgeable of and support Environment, Health & Safety goals across all modes of transport and storage
Requirements:
Good communication skills (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills so as to ensure free flow of company logistics process
Working knowledge of logistics policies, export/import compliance procedures
Good customer care ability
Team player
Good analytical skills and ability to prioritize in the face of multiple tasks
Good time & project management skills so as to ensure efficiency in service delivery at all times
Ability to be proactive when dealing with customer complaints or requests
Good numerical and IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office programs
1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Bachelor's degree in Business Ad, Customs Administration or Supply Chain related courses
