Main Purpose of Role

  • Be the SGS INDSAF interface for OPEX service delivery for the Machinery segment of I&E.
  • Working with the Global Service Line and Business Verticals, design, develop, present, defend and win new business delivering novel service solutions to segment clients.
Key Accountabilities
  • Be the key contact point for machinery safety services across the network.
  • Support and guide new inspection / audit templates for new / varied service scopes being developed / implemented as relates to equipment and machinery.
  • Support with development and implementation of new training schemes and upskilling of workforce to changing demands in skills and certifications.
  • Support in advice for new developments to the inspection and audit management system .
  • Be the first point of contact for support with affiliates to deal with any potential complaints/ claims within the service to review all reports and support to prepare responses, including legal counsel per group policy.
  • Responsible for maintaining the global capabilities matrices for the global operations as relates to machinery.
  • Support in the implementation of systems to the network for execution and to maintain competent pools of freelancers for with valid certs.
  • Maintenance of Global QMS and Manuals including updates and on-going training.
  • Support in QMS harmonization for I&E globally.
  • Ensure that all processes and procedures are up to date and accessible to the network in SharePoint
  • Be a key contributor in the continuous improvement process of the organization
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of purpose and role of TIC in assurance sector of markets
  • Knowledge of International standards in particular those related to machinery regulatory compliance and industrial safety
  • Good general knowledge of SGS Industrial markets including Energy, Transportation and Manufacturing
  • Must have good communication skills at all levels, speak and present assertively
  • Strong numerical skills with concomitant ability to develop economic cases for opportunities and projects
  • Proficient in MS office suite, particularly Excel, Power BI, SharePoint and related tools
  • Team player with a real ability to network and collaborate across all network cultures \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently managing multiple simultaneous opportunities and projects.

Experience
  • Minimum 10-year experience in TIC / Technical Services / Operations particularly those providing statutory, regulatory and similar high-value compliance services related to machinery within competitive markets
  • Experience in dealing with cross-affiliate projects, claims and complaints, evaluating and managing risk
  • Familiar with matrix structured international organisations advantageous
Qualifications
  • Must \xe2\x80\x93 university degree or equivalent, preferable in relevant technical or business discipline
  • Must \xe2\x80\x93 business level English literacy
  • Desirable \xe2\x80\x93 additional language capability
