NUS Libraries’ Technical Services seeks a proactive team player, to provide administrative and management support for ordering and organising of information resources required for teaching, learning and research activities in NUS.
Duties & Responsibilities
The candidate will be involved in the following tasks:
- Supporting aspects of procurement (including obtaining product information, cost comparison, negotiation with vendors and placing orders)
- Processing library materials received
- Following up with vendor if necessary for outstanding orders or errors incurred
- Verifying incoming invoices: details are in accordance with the purchase order and delivery order
- Maintaining records for library collections and access including those for orders and payment
- Performing other adhoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification: “O” levels Years of Experience: Preferably 1 year; no experience welcome
Knowledge & Skills required:
- Good communication, inter-personal and problem-solving skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work independently as well as part of the team
- Meticulous and comfortable dealing with numbers
- Experience in library or related work is a bonus but not essential
