TORM



TORM is looking for a shipping trainee to join their tanker division in Singapore. In this two-year commercial trainee program, you will obtain qualifications in the key areas of shipping, commencing from 1 July 2020.

What you can expect from the programme
As part of the trainee program you will attend the Danish Shipping Academy from September 2020 to June 2022. The education will consist of 3 x 1 week in Copenhagen, Denmark, as well as extensive distance learning. During your trainee period, you will rotate between the Chartering and Operations departments where you will get on-the-job training as well as being introduced to other parts of the shipping business. You will also get the chance to sail with one of TORM’s tanker vessels.

Job Requirement

• Recently completed or is planning to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies or another relevant degree within Business Administration with excellent results
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• It will be considered an advantage if you have experience from a relevant internship and/or speak additional languages
