We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Actuarial Services. Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform valuation projects assigned which may involve solvency, balance sheet and profit & loss management, bonus investigation, stress testing, etc
  • Support valuation reporting work if needed
  • Support asset and liability management
  • Support new product assessment, including but not limited to reserving/solvency bases review, valuation modelling requirements etc
  • Support assumption review
  • Responsible for maintaining local Model Governance standards as per HSBC guidelines
  • Complete ad-hoc projects assigned, provide guidance to junior colleagues
  • Work closely with the group office and external Actuarial consultants, ensuring adherence to the HSBC guidelines and statutory regulations
  • Opportunity to expose to/involve in the discussions and meetings with senior stakeholders within the organization

Requirements
Requirements
  • University graduate in a relevant discipline in Actuarial Studies, with good progress in actuarial exams of an international recognized actuarial body
  • 5 years or above of Actuarial experience, with some experience in life valuation is preferred
  • Candidate with less experience or qualification will be considered for Assistant Manager position
  • Knowledge of Singapore reporting standard, RBC2, is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage and complete projects within timeline
  • Ability to work independently, work well with others as interaction with other departments may be required
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Hands-on experience in Prophet, experience in ALS is a plus
