Responsibilities:
As the Category Manager, you will devise the growth strategy and conduct competitive analysis of the business landscape to identify competition and growth opportunities. You will lead the translation of plans into execution, including leads cultivation, driving negotiation and contracting of partnerships. Specifically, this includes:

1. Pitching, Negotiation & Engagement with vendors

  • Cost & retail pitch & negotiation with vendors
  • Review Brands’ assortment/range, costing, competitive retail price & margin
  • Negotiate & Pitch promotion support from merchant/suppliers to stay competitive & profitable
  • Negotiate for margin support/rebates


2. Business Development
  • Monthly/Quarterly performance review for all brands & Suppliers by skus to rationalize assortment
  • Build relationship with vendors/brands
  • Gather market intel to develop curated plans & improve business
  • Review trend performance
  • Identify, prospect and reach out to new vendors, analyze their potential to expand business growth


3. Retailing Management
  • Forecasting & Projection for wholesale vendors
  • Monitor sales, inventory, and place orders
  • Review, develop and execute Price & Promo pricing activations
  • Review, develop and execute Bundle creation & pricing
  • Perform Pricing test & study impact to sales


4. Marketing & Promotion planning
  • Develop promotion plans & partner with marketing teams, including physical promotion execution
  • Identify, select & nominate products for social adv, campaign page & Edm
  • Pitching to vendors & review vendor proposal for marketing campaigns
  • Curation of products for various channels (weekly edm, campaign layout nomination, social-IG/FB/TG, CR)


5. Account/System Management
  • Onboarding of vendors/supplier to set up account in our system
  • Online deals set up & sourcing


6. Other Activities & Trainings
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and external (Vendor) internal partners to achieve overall ISC KPIs
  • Conduct trainings & guidance for team members
  • Ad-Hoc responsibilities assigned by reporting Manager

Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree Holder with at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to manage Vision and Purpose
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Experience in process management while being customer focused
  • Ability to work with Top Management
  • Able to deal with Ambiguity and provide guidance to direct reports
  • Possess good interpersonal skills
