Job PurposeYou will be responsible for the planning, organizing and executing audits for the Great Eastern Group of Companies. You will also assist the Singapore Head of Internal Auditor, to provide an independent and objective assurance to improve the Group\xe2\x80\x99s operations.The Job\xc2\xb7 Ensure coverage of relevant regulatory requirements and recommend improvements to corporate policies, procedures and practices;\xc2\xb7 Lead or participate in the planning for each audit assignment to ensure performance of audit assignments, quality of reports and timeliness of deliverables;\xc2\xb7 Develop audit plans and programs. Ensure that these documents are up-to-date and suitable to the current operating environment of the auditee;\xc2\xb7 Ensure timely reporting of findings, risks and recommendations for auditee\xe2\x80\x99s response and finalisation of report to AC (Audit Committee);\xc2\xb7 Lead or participate in other ad-hoc assignments including special projects and investigations;\xc2\xb7 Assist in the follow-up with auditees on outstanding audit findings through the issuance of Audit Tracking Report and verification of resolved findings;\xc2\xb7 Ensure that audit operating standards and procedures are observed, and requirements of the Quality Assurance Review are met; and\xc2\xb7 Assist in the administration of Group Internal Audit and ensure effective and efficient usage of the Department\xe2\x80\x99s resources.\xc2\xb7 Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.\xc2\xb7 Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.\xc2\xb7 Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.QualificationsOur Requirements\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, preference will be given to those with Chartered Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor certification;\xc2\xb7 5 to 8 years of relevant audit experience;\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the insurance sector will be an added advantage;\xc2\xb7 Strong report writing, communication and presentation skills;\xc2\xb7 Analytical, independent and a good team player;\xc2\xb7 Committed and able to interact well with all levels of staff;\xc2\xb7 Proficient in oral and written English; and\xc2\xb7 Able to travel overseas when required (once/twice every quarter).\xc2\xb7 High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.\xc2\xb7 Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.About Great EasternFounded in 1908, Great Eastern is a well-established market leader and trusted brand in Singapore and Malaysia.
