You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team within EDB\'s Brand, Marketing and Communications division, focused on public communications to enhance EDB\'s corporate reputation, positively shape perceptions of industries that EDB nurtures, and convey to local audiences the impact of EDB\'s work on the Singapore economy and jobs. You will craft pitches to media, handle media queries and create assets for EDB\'s owned channels (website, social media, e-mail newsletters) ranging from text articles to infographics. In this role, you will need to work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including providing senior management with issues management counsel.What you will be working on:

  • Preparing media materials such as press releases and media briefs for EDB\'s events and announcements
  • Managing media relations with international and domestic media
  • Collaborating across teams to develop and execute integrated marketing and communications plans, including using social media to amplify key messages and developing content for owned channels
  • Providing support to senior EDB spokespersons for their media and speaking opportunities as well as identifying platforms where EDB can gain mindshare
  • Providing communications counsel to internal stakeholders for their media engagements
  • Working closely with EDB\'s account-managed companies to offer comms counsel and amplify benefits of their activities to the local business ecosystem
  • Undertaking regular reviews to assess and measure the effectiveness of messaging and communications efforts and propose enhancements, where applicable
What we are looking for:
  • At least 6 years of corporate communications, public affairs or journalism experience in either the public or private sector
  • A proven track record in public relations and media management, and the ability to foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • An interest in geopolitical, business and social trends. Good analytical skills, with the ability to identify and distil pertinent issues, draw conclusions, and develop solutions that address the organisation\'s communications needs.
  • Experience using social media to amplify content and promote audience engagement
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to work independently and at the same time, work effectively across teams to deliver impactful public communications
  • Singaporean/PR
