Job Description




This role focuses on building mental health capability in the sector, from the development of resources for training such as training curriculum, competency framework and also to develop new standardized and sustainable training resources to scale up capabilities of community mental health (CMH) sector.

  • Lead the Mental Health competency framework implementation. This includes engaging training providers in the pilot and evaluation of the competency-based assessments Work with hospital-based mental health teams (Psy Med divisions, ASCAT teams) on the adoption of the competency-based assessment for the various tiers of mental health training they offer.
  • Lead and manage the team in providing inputs at the national interagency training and competency work committee on competency development for service planning.
  • Manage the development of standardised training roadmap and curriculum, this includes engaging the AIC divisions on a standardised mental health training roadmap.
  • Lead the team and internal programme owners to develop and conducting training needs analysis of CMH Partners to identify training needs and gaps. Design and develop new training courseware (in different modalities) to equip CMH partners with specialised knowledge and skills such as hoarding, suicide, engaging youth mental health.
  • Engage the subject matters experts and set-up a training workgroup to collaborate on training courseware development.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in healthcare related discipline, with preference for mental health qualification with at least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in healthcare or community care sectors with 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 management experience
  • Prior experience in mental health would be an advantage
  • Experience in capability development and programme implementation
  • Possess strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills with a good eye for detail and strong follow-up skills
  • Possess strong organizations skills and effective project management skills in managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong ability to handle ambiguity and high work pressure in a fast pace work environment
  • Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in handling diverse situations and manage individual differences
