We are seeking a highly motivated, legal professional who has a true desire to work in a dynamic aviation environment. In this role, you will report to Associate Director & Counsel, responsible for full spectrum of legal and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drafting and reviewing of day to day and complex contracts pertaining to Pratt & Whitney APAC's business.

Provide strong support and work closely with PW APAC legal director.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders in PW APAC's business, procurement, and the legal teams.

Work as part of a cross-functional team to provide commercial and contractual legal support on important projects within PW APAC.

Provide local law interpretation and be a point of contact for local legal and regulatory issues.

Provide support in connection with data privacy compliance issues, co-leading the PW APAC privacy council.

Maintain an up-to-date date knowledge of developments in relevant areas of law and contribute to the Legal team's sharing of know-how.

Help to maintain the contract database as well as template documents, creating appropriate guidance notes.

Instruct and manage external counsel in a cost-effective manner.

Help to deliver relevant legal training programs.

Provide ad-hoc corporate governance support and any other task as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor of Laws, with common law qualification.

Significant experience in providing legal advice on commercial contracts and a solid grasp of contracts law. At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a role focused on commercial contracts, obtained either in-house or in private practice.

Regional experience in APAC will be a plus.

Strong drafting skills and ability to lead negotiations confidently.

Experience in privacy and personal data matters would be viewed favorably.

Strong team player with good communication skills, translating into ability to work with various internal and external stakeholders.

Independent worker able to work autonomously with limited supervision.

An analytical mind able to "see" the legal complexities of the business in Asia Pacific.

Strong organizational skills.
