Job Description


This role manages the PostPal trials, deployment of the infrastructure, development aspects of the PostPal, and work with stakeholders to resolve related PostPal matters. He/she will also champion defect analysis and product improvement, through data analysis, with the vendors and partners throughout the lifecycle of the PostPal. By identifying the root causes timely and rectifying them through a diligent defect analysis process at the early stage of the PostPal deployment, he/she will be a valuable resource in contributing to the success of a future nationwide roll-out through effective cost reduction and enhancing the product reliability of PostPal.

Key Responsibilities and Results Areas

The Manager will play an important role in SingPost\'s deployed infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

a. Implementation

  • Lead and manage system trials and deployment of infrastructure
  • Lead in system verifications and validations, reliability demonstration
  • Lead in managing the transition from development phase to deployment phase to operations & support phase
  • Work with design partners, system integrators, internal stakeholders and external vendors throughout the product development cycle
  • Partner governmental agencies and design partners and vendors in developing designs and push for rapid prototyping and implementation of solutions to enhance the current letterbox and other postal infrastructure.
b. Project Management
  • Manage end-to-end key project initiatives and demonstrate good governance to meet timeline necessary to comply with Project Delivery requirements (including control of resources, timeline, budget, scope, documentation and risk control).
  • Work with internal stakeholders for business cases, management reports and procurement strategies for both internal management and messaging for external stakeholders including government agencies.
c. Stakeholder Management
  • Manage multiple project work streams and proactively update the internal stakeholders on the risk/ issues/ milestones, ensuring the scope, cost and timeline are effectively managed.
  • Participate in multiple initiatives from conceptualisation to handover beginning from procurement strategy/ packaging and detailed scoping. Scope includes amongst others, requirements gathering, systems definition, process streamlining and ensuring compliance to regulations, security and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Possess a Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering from a recognised institution
  • At least 8 years\' experience in an operational or technical role, and with life cycle management of system deployment and/or processes.
  • Led or participated in at least one system product development cycle
  • Led or participated in system/product operation & support phase
  • Familiar with project management processes
  • Proficient in relevant engineering technical competencies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
  • A logical and structured thinker who understands and can perform Root Cause Analysis
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill to handle various situations, customers and vendors
  • Meticulous and attention to details
