Carry out market visiting, market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness
Contribute to retail sales budgeting process. Provide field-based information relating to sales, expenses and capital requirements for African operations
Achieve budgeted sales target, contact administration and customer support of new business activities in Africa
Assist in development and delivery of approved strategies
Liaise and build relationships with various stakeholders to develop marketing / product roadmaps based on key strategic priorities for Africa region
Comply with import and export regulations and conditions relating to the end to end process
Other tasks as per assigned by management
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in sales & marketing/ commodities / food / FMCG sales is required for this position.
As this role requires in-depth knowledge of the African market, experience in Africa is required.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate well with people from all levels
Analytical, takes initiative and is willing to learn
Highly mobile and flexible in terms of location; willing to be stationed in Africa
Previous experience of working in a food industry (preferably edible oil sector) would be advantageous
