Overview: In this role, you will help to drive the alignment and coordination of innovation initiatives across Keppel BUs, that are in line with the Vision 2030 objectives with an emphasis on creating or capturing value through cross BU collaboration. This includes getting involved on a consultative basis in stages from conceptualization, stakeholder sponsorship to delivery and outcome adoption of innovation projects. In tandem, you will help to lead and coordinate technology foresighting efforts with each BU's innovation team, to ensure that the group as a whole captures the pulse of industry and technology advancements. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a network of influencers across the BUs, including in BU innovation teams, who will support in driving stakeholder sponsorship of innovation projects from within the BUs Build positioning across the group as a 'go-to' person for innovation related discussions, with a pulse on ongoing areas of concern and interest on the technology front and how it supports BU strategy and direction in line with Vision 2030 Maintain an ongoing awareness on select technology verticals and emerging trends relevant to Keppel, in collaboration with the BU innovation teams and KTAP advisors Acquire and provide expertise in 1-2 specific innovation domains to be able to serve as a subject matter consultant to the business units. (e.g IoT / Smart Buildings / New Energy / Sustainability / CCUS etc) Establish and maintain relationships with agencies, stat boards and IHLs, with ongoing system for tracking available grants and funds for innovation projects across the group Grow external network with incubators, accelerators, think tanks, research institutes, universities and keep the team updated on developments coming out from these sources Adopt best practices to augment internal processes for external technology partnering, including agreement frameworks, IP positions, Non Disclosure Agreements, Joint Development Agreements, Commercial Agreements etc Adapt the ability to apply key competencies in design thinking, lean innovation, innovation methodology, business model design and validation, frameworks, systems and processes in order to drive innovation projects Bring on board key competencies in go-to-market and commercialization strategy development including design concepts generation, pricing strategy, marketing strategy Communicate with the BUs to explore & analyse their business innovation needs, help scope out initial project objectives, deliverables and measures of success, then socialize the projects for stakeholder sponsorship and resource allocation JOB REQUIREMENTS 8-10 years of experience in strategy / business development roles with exposure to different business models and operations Proven track record of thriving in a VUCA environment with an ability to drive progress in unstructured and uncertain situations Strong communicator with the ability to craft compelling narratives and get 360 buy-in on ideas and initiatives, from working level to C-suite Shows ability to move initiatives through in compliance with established processes, or to develop / adapt processes Shows strategic thinking to drive initiatives and is able to address the value proposition and business sense of the initiative, with an understanding of how this drives impact for BUs Awareness of emergent technologies and current market trends in select verticals Existing networks across govt agencies, startup ecosystems, and IHLs / research institutes preferred Expertise in 1-2 specific innovation domains to be able to serve as a subject matter consultant to the business units.
