DESIGNATION : Manager (Category Assortment & Space Optimisation)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to Assistant Director, CPBP, you will be responsible for supervising, overseeing, leading, training and motivating team members of CPBP, Category Assortment & Space Optimization.

  • Monitor and ensure timely deliverables of tasks and projects by the division.
  • Coach, mentor, guide and train team members.
  • Monitor performance of team members and evaluate performance.
  • Communicate department’s goals and deadlines.
  • Provide help to management and keep management updated of teams performance.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, accuracy and timely deliverable.
  • Ensure effective Assortment & Space Optimization – Planograms created and maintained, are done according to merchandising and display guidelines, and improve overall sales productivity and profitability, maximise on shelf availability and enhance shoppers’ experience through improved product navigation.
  • Ensure team’s quality and timely submission of Category Assessment and Assortment Optimisation Report
  • Support and guide team in providing relevant insights for Category Review, and evaluation of category performance by formats by stores.
  • Maintain good communication with all departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless executions of all initiatives, projects and planogram roll out.
  • Liaise with key business partners in evaluating category performance, trend opportunity and enhanced display solutions.
  • Participate in annual category reviews with Category Managers by providing analytical insights and support merchandising standards.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in any discipline. Diploma holders with related experience may also apply
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in the retail industry
  • Effective interaction with multiple levels of the organizations and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate qualitative skills in analysing numbers
  • Experience with space management software
  • Strong organization and planning skills – able to work independently and meet deadlines in a multi task environment.
  • Ability to work with autonomy as well as collaboratively with team members.
  • Excellent written, oral, listening and presentation skills
  • Experienced, self-driven and motivated team player.
  • Able to lead a team, and work independently
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to details while working in a fast paced environment
  • Motivated, meticulous, results oriented, professionalism and open to change as business require
  • Resourceful and problem solver
