Job Description


Overview

The candidate reports in to the NUHS Transformation Office and forms part of the team that oversees transformation for NUHS, fostering innovation, agility and continuous improvement while ensuring employee engagement and stakeholders partnerships towards organisational success. The team plays a vital role in strategic planning, change management, performance measurement and talent development. This position will specifically focus on developing an ecosystem and culture of innovation and collaboration across NUHS by creating the architecture or framework; solutioning and mobilising people and resources; providing toolkits, trainings, and playbooks to support the mission of NUHS Transformation Office.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

Work with various NUHS Offices to architect an ecosystem and culture that fosters innovation from all fronts in NUHS, including seeding ideas, implementing agile way, supporting re-structuring, de-risking and creating safe environment for innovation to flourish

Lead the mapping and identification of synergies across various NUHS transformation projects to help guide decision making in financial investment, people mobilisation, and time commitment.

Identify best practices and develop foresights that can inform NUHS transformational strategy goals, initiatives, and programmes, and develop action plans for and coordinating implementation.

Organisational Culture and Empowerment

Empower NUHS teams to take a long view, develop vision with ways to get there, and communicate their ideas effectively.

Support in solutioning with NUHS teams by breaking down what is required to achieve their visions, mobilising people of various disciplines and resource, and troubleshooting barriers

Change Management

Plan and implement effective change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and successful adoption of transformation initiatives in NUHS.

Engage stakeholders, address resistance, ensure training and support, and develop a culture of openness and adaptability in NUHS.

Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Collaboration

Engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels in NUHS, to create alignment, build support, and ensure effective communication of the transformation journey.

Establish clear channels of communication, provide regular updates, and solicit feedback.

Foster strategic partnerships and collaboration with the community, external organisations, industry experts, and thought leaders to leverage collective knowledge, resources, and best practices.

Seek opportunities for collaboration, alliances and partnerships, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

Degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, or a related field. Master\'s degree preferred.

At least 5 years of relevant work experience. Experience in healthcare industry will be an advantage.

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives and with a track record of successfully managing several projects at once, within scope, time, and budget

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including healthcare providers, policymakers, and vendors.

High level of initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and innovatively to overcome challenges and drive positive change.

Passion for driving healthcare innovation and transformation, with a deep commitment to improving healthcare outcomes and patient experiences.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of agile innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Proven ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Willingness to stay updated on emerging trends in transformation to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of innovation.
