Job Description


The University's new Student Management System (SMS) manage the complete student lifecycle from attracting new talent, through all day-to-day activities, and on to graduation. This system will support our population of more than 33,000 students. This role reports to the SMS Head and will operationalize the adoption and utilization of the newly implemented system and future capabilities or functionalities as required by the changing business needs. Responsibilities

  • Manage cross workstreams modules such as internet, intranet, chatbot, mobile app
  • Manage warehousing and storing of data, information and processes
  • Guide and train business users in use of technology and system
  • Engage business to gather business requirement for system or technology
  • Provide end-to-end system support and engage users on new or change requests
  • Testing of new functionality in upgrading / new enhancement of systems
  • Support in queries handling and requests for operational systems
  • Data collation for operational issues and partner with system vendor and IT to resolve issues
  • Perform data analytics and creation of dashboard for operational information from systems
  • Documentation of standard order procedures for the governance in processes
  • Maintenance of user administration, support in troubleshooting technical and functional issues in the different systems
  • Extract and analyse data or information required by business users from systems
  • Supports all audit reviews and execute any audit remedial actions
  • Ability to generate system and operation reports which meet users’ requirement on the daily, weekly, monthly reports for the purpose of management reporting, data analysis and business decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any related field from a recognised University
  • Minimum 6 years of working experiences, preferably in tertiary education sector
  • Strong functional knowledge in student management system or student management processes
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Demonstrated competencies in system and process documentation
  • Self-driven, highly motivated & able to work well both individually and in a team, while under pressure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and BI tools such as Tableau/Qliksense/Power BI would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel, Power Query and PowerPoint
