Job Description


[What the role is]

You will be part of a dynamic Grant Team to develop and deliver grant programmes in sectors such as arts and culture, community development, education, health, social service and sports. You will directly engage with grantees throughout the grant lifecycle, from proactive grant curation to conducting mid-term and end-term review. You will also play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships between grantors and grantees.

[What you will be working on]

Your role supports the Board\xe2\x80\x99s corporate goal of being a proactive, strategic, and impactful grant maker.

You will be involved in the following areas:

  • Grant Curation: A pathfinder to proactively orchestrate, curate and develop strategic grant projects with stakeholders. You would propose grant curation opportunities (white spaces interventions) based on research and stakeholder engagement and anticipate emerging and future needs within an area. This could include developing a theory of change to identify effective strategies and solutioning to target intervention gaps identified.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: To forge strong relationships and networks with key stakeholders to catalyse and support cross-sector/cross-agency collaboration. This portfolio requires the officer to convene critical conversations amongst multiple stakeholders to co-develop strategic grants, and be actively involved in programme ideation, design and funding, as well as project implementation. In curating new initiatives, Tote Board would need to identify sector and community partners in co-creating solutions for impact.
  • Grant Administration and Impact & Outcome Management (IOM): To manage applications and monitor implementation of projects and programmes funded; analyse their outcomes and impact; and work closely with grantees and partners to course correct where relevant, including raising submissions for project deviations. Officer is expected to work across teams to ensure grant governance and controls as well as budget planning and management. Officer would also support grantees\xe2\x80\x99 adoption of Tote Board\xe2\x80\x99s IOM framework.
[What we are looking for]

Requirements

Relevant working experience in business/partnership development, public relations or communications related roles, grant review and evaluation, and/or programme design and implementation.

Strong ability and interest in engaging various external and internal stakeholders. A self-motivated person with an optimistic entrepreneur energy to facilitate conversations amongst multiple stakeholders to design solutions for social issues.

A results-orientated person with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through effectively to manage work and meet multiple deadlines.

Good partnership-making and sense-making skills.

Good planning and organisational skills with an eye for details

Prior experience in public, nonprofit and/or grassroot organisations would be an advantage.

Note: This is a fixed term contract role.
