Care Corner Singapore Ltd was founded in 1981, in a climate of changes in the early 1980s, as economic competition in the region intensified and the rift between the wealthy and the lower-income in particular the Chinese blue-collar workers, widened. Rev Tan Tien Ser and a group of passionate individuals believed that these marginalised people with lower income and little opportunities for a formal education could be helped to realise their potential and become more competent and fulfilled persons. Through a series of early outreach initiatives, Care Corner has evolved into an organisation offering a wide range of programmes and services delivered through various social service centres located island-wide. In a bid to stay relevant to the needs of the community, Care Corner has continuously strived to offer new and innovative programmes to support those in need and the less privileged.
DESIGNATION : Manager/Assistant Manager (Youth Services)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support in the operations at Youth Services (YS), assist in the conceptualization and implementation of delivery of services to our clients in the community and in schools. YS works in a variety of settings, serving our clients in the community via outreach, mandated state programmes and school upstream intervention programmes. The role will have exposures to the wide plethora of work with our adolescents to achieve positive developmental outcomes for our young clients.
Job Responsibilities

• Work along with the leadership team to initiate short, medium and long-term strategies, action plans and targets in line with the defined vision, mission and objectives of YS.
• Review changing policies and evolving environment and take appropriate measures to increase sectoral presence for YS.
• Design, plan and manage the implementation and service improvements of programmes and services (Integrated Service Provider (ISP) for Guidance Programme, Adolescence Development Programmes, Outreach to Adolescents, etc.
• Co-lead development of programme proposals and designs, take lead in overseeing and managing outcome indicators, standard requirements and statistical reporting required by private and government funders.
• Engage and enhance relations with partners, stakeholders and schools (e.g. Private Foundations, Corporations, MOE, MSF, MHA, NCSS, NYC, Healthcare Institutions, Schools and Educational Institutions, Family Justice Courts, SPF, etc)
• Network and collaborate with community partners and stakeholders in the region so as to enhance service provision for service users, secure resources to ensure effective delivery of programmes and contribute towards programme and community development.
• Co-lead in cultivating potential funders and donors to adopt long-term funding of YS flagship programmes, identify potential funders and donors and involve in effective relationship management for successful acquisition of programme funding by private donors and foundations.
• Support the organisation of programme and services sub-committee meetings and quarterly service review meetings.
• Responsible for the recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance reviews, appraisal and development of the staff team.

• Degree holders in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Education or related discipline
• Preferably 5 years working experience and at least 2 years’ experience in managing and leading teams. Candidates with experience in working with young persons would be preferred.
• Ability to work independently to conceptualize, design, deliver and evaluate programmes would be required.
• Adaptable and fast, capable of balancing priorities and move quickly in a rapidly changing environment. Independent and self starter.
• Demonstrate ability to lead cross-functional, core changes and non-core process within a large organization.
• Able to partake in sports and physical activities when needed.
