Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of SMC\'s alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services; key responsibilities include:
  • Supervise of a team of case management officers
  • Prepare case management rosters
  • Manage complex enquiries and assignment of responses to case enquiries
  • Assign cases
  • Appoint neutrals
  • Check and approve fee quotes for mediation case files
  • Check and approve billings for case files
  • Manage adjudication disciplinary proceedings
  • Monitor and improve the overall customer experience including the quality and timeliness of ADR services; monitor and act on feedback
  • Review and maintain proper records of policies and procedures
  • Manage internal audit matters pertaining to Registry services
  • Maintain good relationships with stakeholders such as mediators, adjudicators, other neutrals and customers
  • Responsible for Construction Adjudicator Accreditation Committee (CAAC) meetings, including setting agenda, liaison with Chair and post-meeting follow-ups
  • Oversee the timely production of reports and statistics
  • Oversee facilities and concierge matters used in the provision of ADR services including review of vendor contracts and liaison with office management team
  • Develop, implement, manage and/or improve new ADR schemes and services as may from time to time be established.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree holder (Degree in Law would be preferred)
  • 5 to 10 years\' experience, preferably in a managerial/supervisory position
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to manage and work with a team to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Able to liaise with stakeholders of different seniority levels
  • Be meticulous and attentive to detail with an ability to multi-task
  • Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy and professionalism are required for this job
