What you will be working on:The role aims to establish NLB as a preferred volunteering destination, and enable internal stakeholders to work hand-in-hand with an active, committed and sustainable volunteer community (individuals, corporates, community organisations, and schools) to more effectively achieve outcomes in support of NLB\'s mission and vision.
  • Oversee the annual line-up of volunteer rewards offered as part of NLB\'s Volunteer Rewards and Recognition Framework, which includes the organising of annual events in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop processes and guidelines, review and oversee the implementation of Volunteer Frameworks, such as for Rewards and Recognition and Acknowledgement and Appreciation.
  • Develop strategies to grow and collaborate with NLB\'s volunteer community of corporate partners in alignment with organizational priorities. This includes identifying pitching, recruiting and retaining volunteering partner organisations.
  • Front engagement with internal stakeholders to build networks and relationships, garner buy-in for volunteer engagement, and promote a positive volunteer engagement culture.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on initiatives to strengthen volunteer engagement, such as reviewing volunteer programmes and operational models, or new developing volunteering roles in support of LAB25 initiatives.
  • Manage NLB\'s volunteer programmes programme, such as Volunteer Storytelling including recruitment, training, placement and ongoing engagement of storytelling volunteers.
  • Support operations of the VM Office and Academy (e.g. rostered duties for answering of queries, providing training, supporting volunteer initiatives across NLB).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with both staff and volunteers .
  • An appreciation of the value of volunteering from the perspectives of volunteers as well as NLB as an organisation.
  • Ability to consider and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and pleasant personality.
The successful applicant will first be appointed on a 2-year contract basis.
