Job Description

The Applications Development Function Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Delivery
Support and collaborate with Global Markets Technology Management to ensure the prioritisation process for delivery of APAC-impacting technology solutions in accordance with Citi's Global Project / Program Management Framework and align with APAC Markets business objectives.
Provide Global Markets Technology functional leadership and management. The specific Global functional remit will be determined in conjunction with successful candidate.
Supervise the delivery of APAC Markets-focused analytics, visualization and digitization initiatives aligned to the APAC Markets business objectives.
2. Regulatory
Act as the APAC Markets Technology Senior Manager under various regulatory regimes such as Singapore MAS SM or Hong Kong SFC MIC, and provide support to the respective In-Country O&T Management as well as APAC O&T Head on such matters.
Support all APAC Markets regulatory enquiries and mandatory initiatives, working with Business, Compliance, Legal and other partners.
3. Stability
Support the APAC Markets Production Services teams where required in managing escalation of APAC-impacting technology issues to APAC Markets Senior Management, APAC O&T Management, and Global Markets Technology Management.
4. Human Capital
Collaborate with Global Markets Technology Management to ensure the regional Markets Technology team can fulfil both its regional and global delivery obligations. Enable both individual and team development by ensuring regional organisational structure can provide appropriate leadership, direction and opportunity.
Support to the APAC Markets technology teams and act as a first point of escalation for HR-related matters such as conduct issues, high attrition rates, compensation issues, health and safety, work/life balance, Return-to-Site, Work-from-Home, performance issues etc.
Set appropriate tone and respond to escalation with regards to team activities and behaviours, in accordance with Global Conduct Risk Management principles.
5. Business Engagement
Support and collaborate with the APAC Markets businesses, acting as APAC Markets Technology NPAC coordinator, and managing the relationship with the APAC Markets Senior Management for all APAC-impacting technology matters.
6. Financial
Ensure the financial soundness of the APAC Markets Technology organization, in partnership with APAC ICG Finance and APAC ICG PMO, aligned with APAC Markets business objectives, as well as Global Markets Technology strategic investments.
Experience: 15+ years in the Financial industry
Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science (preferred) or other Scientific background
