Role:

• Operational Management:

• Ensure vessels are operated in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Monitor and manage overall vessel operational expenses.
• Conduct regular vessel inspections to ensure seaworthiness and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the crew and technical teams to manage planned maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Analyze technical matters and provide solutions for operational challenges.
• Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations, including SOLAS, MARPOL, and other international standards.
• Participate in and contribute to QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) matters.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to ensure the safety of the crew and livestock.
• Crew Management:

• Oversee crew performance, training, and development to ensure high standards of operation.
• Coordinate with the crewing department for crew changes and maintain proper documentation.
• Animal Welfare:

• Ensure adherence to animal welfare standards and guidelines during transportation.
• Monitor livestock health and wellbeing throughout the voyage and address any issues promptly.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Liaise with various stakeholders, including port authorities, regulatory bodies, and customers.
• Provide regular reports on vessel performance, maintenance status, and operational issues.

• CoC Class 1 with at least 3 years of experience as a Master onboard Livestock Carriers.
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the region as required.
