As our Market Intelligence prime with your strong analytical skills and industry foresight, you would understand where the market is heading and facilitate both outbound (customer/ market facing) and inbound marketing- interacting with strategy office of sales and PLM and Corporate CTO.
Your key responsibility is to foster marketing related insights & dynamics into the business to help formulating sales strategies and accelerate growth.
Roles And Responsibilities
Build value-based ground-breaking propositions including solution, sales and commercial models that transform how customers consume Ciena’s solutions and perception as trusted partner of choice for their success Analyse medium to long term market trends & dynamics and formulate a view of how Ciena should exploit market-shifts to lay the foundation for growth Identify & drive strategic programs- Incubate new insights & solutions for deeper market penetration and territory expansions that play to our strengths and form new vectors of growth Develop an in-depth technical understanding of the our portfolio and industry positioning Collaborate with 3 key pillars of S3- Strategic Sales & Services International Organization:
Business Development leaders that implement our GTM/ Business Development strategies towards IP-Optical Hardware & Software solutions
Solutions Architects that apply technologies to customer challenges
Services Sales organization that is responsible for Services strategy, offerings, solution selling

Education, Experience & Attributes:
4-year degree in Technical or Business field, or equivalent education/experience 2-6 years prior experience in the Telecommunication Marketing/ BD/ Sale/ Commercial/ Sales industry as an individual contributor Smart-worker who has an appetite for learning and a go-getter demeanour Familiarity with Ciena’s industry landscape, and its portfolio offerings within variety of customer segments Depth in business modeling, including addressable market analysis and market share growth prediction Understanding of Service provider Monetization strategies with the ability to translate to Ciena Products and Solutions Presentation skills for both intimate audiences and large audiences, including customers, partners, competitors, and internal Ciena Strong history of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking in developing new and future modes of operation for Ciena. This includes innovation in Ciena’s basic business mode for how we make money. Long term vision for the strategic evolution of the telecom and IT sectors. Telecom service offerings and revenue generation, present and future mode, with special attention to pay-as-you-go / success-based models for software applications. Strategic & creative problem solver – able to offer new, innovative approaches to achieve significant growth in a technology area, and to take technologies from Pre- to Post-chasm Proven ability to work cross-functionally across various organizations to drive outcomes Ability to influence and lead in a highly matrixed model
Excellent verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills. Able to articulate sophisticated ideas and strategies to people at all levels of the organization
