OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Country Supply Chain Manager, you will play a meaningful role in the core operational planning of the supply chain activities in Alstom Singapore. You will work closely with project stakeholders to anticipate material needs and ensure overall project On Time Delivery (OTD) performance at each project milestone and adapt material delivery strategy based on project milestones defined contractually by the customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Material Number Codification: Assist the engineering team in Material Number Codification for engineering items & carry out data enrichment in SAP.
  • Material Scheduling: Set up Material Bill Of Quantities (BOQ) & batches delivery strategies based on Project strategy & contractual milestones.
o Collect materials needs & requirements, and build up the Material Control Sheet.
o Build retro-planning for critical path items, considering manufacturing & delivery lead times
o Define material typology (based on ABC, variability,) for defining planning tactics and to support project replenishment
o Monitor critical path items, anticipate risk on material delivery & ensure delivery on time
o Analyse project inventory content for correcting planning strategies
  • Execute Project Material planning based on Project strategy
o Coordinate with project stakeholders & external vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
o Anticipate the risk on material delivery, material shortages & propose recovery plan
o Manage major equipment delivery performance & escalation process in case of delays.
o Synchronise flows & needs with other Alstom sites
  • Manage Procurement Data in SAP
o Manage & periodic review of Purchases Requests, Order Acknowledgements & Delegation Of Authority (DOA) validation
o Control quality of all procurement data - specific focus on purchases quantities, delivery schedules & acknowledgement receipts.
o Issuance of Purchase Orders to Vendors according to the agreements & price lists negotiated & signed by Sourcing Department. Ensure that specific conditions agreed with Suppliers are reflected in ERP parameters.
  • Support Finance for the following activities:
o Client\'s contractual milestones & payments
o Vendors\' Invoices processing in Digital Invoice Payment (DIP)
  • Manage Transport & Logistic for material deliveries
o Coordinate with internal stakeholders & external vendors to organise imports/exports/custom clearance of materials.
o Organise and arrange material transportation from external & internal vendors premises/air-port/sea-port/local warehouse to destination and follow-up transportation status in order to ensure timely and safe delivery of material.
o Optimizes costs, services and organization in line with project strategy and transportation budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

EDUCATION
  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain / Engineering / Business Management
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in Supply Chain/Procurement operations
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience in a relevant rail transportation industry is highly desirable, alternatively similar industries can also be considered
