Job Purpose/Role


Responsible for developing global network strategy and framework for MidCorp and LargeCorp Multinational business. Manage and steer effective partnership with Allianz (incl. AGCS) and Non-Allianz network partners; including Allianz SE group functions, AGCS Multinational community and other global lines e.g. Allianz Partners. Ensure superior client delivery through superior network to enable Multinational value proposition.


Future Challenges


Establish network management as a strategic Group function and enable other entities leveraging capabilities in the future (e.g. AZ Trade, AZ Partners, AZ Global Benefits). Drive development of “Network for rent” capability, offering the Network to third parties as an agent.


Key Responsibilities

  • Global Network Management

Develop overarching global strategy and framework for network management (i.e. dual partner strategy, bilateral agreements, business development, performance reviews, etc.) and ensure this is implemented in all regions consistently. Engage with strategic network partners and enable hosting global/regional conferences and other events. Be the counterpart of global functions for Network related topics inc. Legal, Finance, Claims and UW. Ensure that multinational and network relevant topics are proactively addressed with global functions. Ensure the team is positioned as central point of contact for assigned network partners within the Multinational community.

  • Global Network Quality Assurance and Optimization

Establish and continuously improve partner reviews related to compliance, sanctions, financial, reputational and other relevant checks. Engage with relevant global functions and ensure alignment and compliance. Ensure that the quality of checks is market leading and ensure that these checks are considered as part of our value proposition.
Manage the relevant quality assurance process and ensure regional support with effective global pooling & processing. Work closely with Global functions and ensure that the RI structures within the region are fit for purpose, updated and continuously optimized.

  • Global Network Performance and Overrider Management

Establish monitoring / steering framework for Network performance (SOE) of AZ OEs (incl. AGCS) and external party network partners and drive improvement alongside agreed KPIs/SLAs. Drive global performance culture and productivity across the Multinational community. Establish diversified network partner strategy and structured network partner reviews and ensure this is implemented in all regions consistently. Ensure effective overrider management and compliance and drive P&L transparency of fees and overriders. Continuously review fee structure together with relevant business functions and ensure improving value and adequacy of agreed fees.

  • Technical Expertise Incubation

Establish framework to provide structured country specific knowledge, especially to enable Multinational teams to be effective in Program Design and tender support along-side Distribution and Underwriting, and ensure efficient and timely communication of relevant country developments affecting global insurance programs incl. new international regulations to Multinational community. Establish network management team as central contact point for country specific knowledge. Support training of Multinational community incl. network and drive thought leadership on developing market topics and emerging risks.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

Establish engagement framework with Allianz SE and other Allianz Group OEs e.g. Allianz Partners and Allianz Trade. Drive network relevant topics with the focus on performance and engagement with local Allianz OEs and Allianz Group regular reporting functions. Where applicable, establish regular review with regional Allianz holding companies e.g. AZAP and Allianz Africa. Establish relationship with Global Broker teams and key Multinational clients to understand how best to optimize the network service delivery for clients.

  • People Management

Manage network management team and lead by example, embedding the NEW AGCS cultural values. Enable and foster personal development activities for your staff.


Technical Skills

  • Excellent understanding of insurance markets
  • Excellent understanding of workflows and life-cycle-management of multinational programs
  • Excellent understanding of (multinational) products
  • Excellent reporting and analytics capabilities



General Skills

  • Communication Skills - verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate others
  • Task Planning – time management skills and experience of scheduling tasks in accordance with daily review of priorities
  • Change Management Skills
  • Project Management - leading diverse teams in complex projects



Experience Required

  • Experience in handling multinational programs
  • Experience in core insurance function, such as in Operations, Underwriting, or Market Management
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Leadership experience including disciplinary authority



Education

  • Bachelor degree in insurance (or equivalent in the Financial sector)
  • Master's Degree (Advantageous)



Languages

  • English - Fluent (able to negociate)
  • German, French, Spanish (Advantageous)
