As part of Singapore manufacturing Industry 4.0 transformation journey, Additive Manufacturing is one of the cornerstone technologies along with Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
The additive manufacturing (AM) industry is growing rapidly, yet the industry is facing a global shortage of workers. The 2022 AM Salary Survey Report by Alexander Daniels Global estimated that in 2021, the AM sector had 8,261 job openings in the US.

This is a Paid-Fellowship Programme that helps you to gain industry experience and unlock career opportunities in the Additive Manufacturing technology sector through an 12-18 months months on-job-training programme where you will get to work with some of the most exciting companies in this space. Partner companies hosting trainees with the programme include Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME), Large Local Enterprise (LLE), Multinational Corporations (MNC), and Startups.
NATIONAL ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING INNOVATION CLUSTER (NAMIC)
The National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) is a national platform led by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), supported by the National Research Foundation under the Prime Minister?s Office and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, together with Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Economic Development Board.
NAMIC aims to accelerate the adoption of hybrid and digital additive manufacturing technologies under Singapore\'s Manufacturing and Economy 2030 Vision, helping industries transform towards innovation and high value-added manufacturing using sustainably sourced, nature-based designs and cradle-to-cradle on-demand manufacturing. NAMIC achieves this by focusing on value capture and creation through an industry sectoral engagement approach, leveraging public-private partnerships and R&D investments, supporting translational research, and accelerating industry test-bedding towards commercial scale-up. NAMIC continues to grow its international outreach, identifying and supporting deep-tech companies incorporating AM technologies seeking capital injection either through project joint-funding or its investor networks. NAMIC I&E Fellowship Programme
NAMIC?s I&E Fellowship Programme (IFP) is a paid 12-18 months on-job training that enables technical professionals in any industry to gain Additive Manufacturing (AM) technical, operational experiences and business acumen in lab- and/or non-lab based roles. IFP covers areas such as project management, translational and commercialization business execution, and formal AM classroom and/or workshop trainings.
