LUX Photonics Consortium is an established network platform to facilitate industry and research/academia collaboration in photonics domain. Over the years, LUX has formed a vibrant community with more than 140+ members, half from industry and half from research community, each bringing on expertise and knowledge in various photonics-enabled market and domain specific applications. LUX has facilitated over hundred public-private collaboration agreements locally. In addition, LUX has on-going effort to form close partnership with international photonics clusters with MOU signed with EPIC, Optitec, Optonet, Optonique, SEIPI, and organized numerous in-person international delegation trips abroad and visits to Singapore. These international partners have each added flavours to LUX, opening avenues for collaborations among companies across the continents.

We would like to invite highly motivated individual to join our team, to contribute to the journey of further enhancing LUX?s role as a national photonics technology platform to bridge research/academia and industry/enterprises in innovation, step up to help local enterprises navigate through their ambition to be a successful product owners and manufacturers and promote Singapore?s photonics capabilities and industry to the global stage.

We are hiring an Program Manager to generate leads to form research collaboration between academia, public research performers and industry or enterprises in the field of photonics and its relevant domains such as laser, optics, LED, optical fiber, sensors, optoelectronics, silicon/compound photonics, optical metrologies, etc. Forging strong partnership with industry/enterprise to further develop the technology to high readiness for market adoption.

The key accountabilities:

• No and type of leads generated for research collaboration and technology commercialization
• No of companies that becomes close research partner
• No of companies participated in activities or technical seminars organized
• Organization of technical seminars, workshop and conference in promoting photonics

Requirements:

• Scientific / technology background with Bachelor or Master degree.
• Strong business acumen with more than 3-5 years business experience in technology oriented companies, in particular in Business Development, Product Marketing, Product development/Engineering, Customer engineering, relating roles.
• Extensive networks.
• Good interpersonal skills to grow and maintain relationship with industry partners.
• A team player who is able to work in an independent and flexible manner, to multi-task, to set priorities
• Independently to grow new leads
• Highly-motivated, positive attitude, responsible and value-driven
