Our curriculum is based upon the DfE's Early Years Foundation Stage framework, the National Curriculum for England, the International Primary Curriculum, IGCSE/GCSE, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and International BTEC Level 2 in Business. We are unique in offering a bespoke set of alternative pathways for students. In Secondary we have courses that focus on English, mathematics, life skills and employability through ASDAN programmes, and vocational qualifications such as the International BTEC Level 1 in Business. In Primary we are guided by the National Curriculum for England and draw upon the International Primary Curriculum and Reggio Emilia inspired approaches. Our school is active in the local international school sports league and we are extremely competitive across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 4 up to the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award in Secondary. All students are involved in a wide range of co-curricular activities, mainly run by teaching staff. About 10% of our students are supported by our integrated SEN unit. The school is on a green 12-acre site about 20 minutes from the Singapore CBD and has excellent specialist facilities, including libraries, ICT suites, The Link (maker-space), dance studio, swimming pool and sports halls. We recently opened a new building to accommodate the increasing numbers of Secondary students, which boasts purpose-built art, drama, PE, music and IT specialist spaces. In 2022 we will open a new indoor sports hall, a specialist arts and technology building and bespoke facilities for our Pathways programme. We are members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We are an EDEXCEL and AQA exam centre and are authorised by the IBO to deliver the IB Diploma Programme. We are the only school in Singapore to offer ASDAN courses. Staff are well supported with professional development sessions run in-house and by access to external training courses through Nord Anglia University, FOBISIA and our partnerships with King's College London, MIT, The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families and The Juilliard School. Reporting to the School Business Manager, the successful candidate will act as the liaison between School Staff (both Academic and Administrative) and Key Service Providers for day to day procurement and operational needs, escalating any concerns or issues raised to the SBM when necessary. They will also be responsible for the co-ordination of procurement and school operations in terms of the transport and catering provisions, liaising with the School Business Manager for any other deemed operation support needed. Requirements: . Candidate must possess a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience within a similar role. . Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team, assess priorities, and manage multiple activities with attention to detail, meeting tight deadlines under pressure. . Excellent problem-solving capacity, with demonstrated ability for considerable analysis and sound judgment to find solutions in a complex environment with shifting and competing priorities. . Excellent cross-cultural communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills demonstrated by ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, stakeholders, clients and consultants. . Advanced Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel spreadsheets, word processing, power point, and electronic mail). Key tasks and responsibilities include: . Manage both the procurement department and the operations team. . Ensure the procurement processes are in place and maintained, ensuring that all financial planning associated to company spends is analyzed thoroughly to meet company's revenue goals with regards to Procurement and budget controls. . Working closely with the SBM - assist to plan, organize the bid solicitation process including drafting and issuing RFQ, RFP, RFI, Tenders, developing bid evaluation criteria and guiding clients on processes involved, ensuring the integrity of the competitive process, facilitates bidder debriefings where necessary, and exercises appropriate judgment and tact while ensuring to protect confidential information. . Liaise with all the key stakeholders such as the SBM, Principal, Finance Director, HoS and department heads to ensure budgets are maintained and orders are placed in the agreed framework and timelines. . Prepare weekly/ monthly and annual reports records to support annual audit process. . Build positive working relationship within the team and with external suppliers/vendors and subcontractors for existing and new potential business opportunities. . Effective line management of the procurement executive and operations executive. . Manage and drive forward strategically, all operational need with external providers such as the Catering Company and the Transport Company. Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times. Reviewing policies and procedures related to both sections to ensure consistent improvements and smooth daily operations within these sectors. . Support in all related elements to drive the efficiency of the department and the Business / Operations team forward at all time to maintain a high level of efficiency and work performance. . Support other departments in the team as needed during high peak periods such as the IT team, Facilities and any other area of the shared department as a whole. . Support with summer planning for big projects and the increase of large deliveries and installations across the site. . Promote company's mission, vision and values.
