We provide Underground Utilities Infrastructure construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as asphalt pre-mix production and construction waste recycling.
DESIGNATION : Operations Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating underground pipeline laying activities to ensure the project is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The supervisor will manage site personnel, subcontractors, and equipment resources while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision & Coordination
Plan, organize, and supervise daily site activities related to underground pipeline laying.
Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other site staff to ensure smooth progress of work.
Monitor resources (etc. materials, equipment, and manpower) and ensure optimal allocation.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
Enforce safety protocols and ensure all activities comply with SP regulations, relevant authorities, and company HSE policies.
Conduct site safety inspections and toolbox talks.
Report and manage incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
Quality Assurance
Ensure all pipeline installation work meets design specifications, technical requirements, and quality standards.
Oversee trenching, bedding, pipe laying, jointing, testing, and backfilling activities.
Assist in the preparation of inspection requests and as-built documentation.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor daily progress against the construction schedule.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Identify and escalate potential delays or resource issues to the Project Manager.
Technical Support
Interpret construction drawings and specifications on-site.
Provide technical guidance and support to foremen and workers.
Resolve on-site technical issues in coordination with the engineering team.
Logistics & Resource Planning
Supervise the delivery, storage, and usage of materials and equipment.
Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
Stakeholder Liaison
Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Facilitate clear communication between the site team and project management.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate records of site activities and inspections.
Ensure all permits and approvals are in place before commencing work.
Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the immediate superior or Head of Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in site supervision, ideally involving underground pipeline works or general civil construction.
Experience in managing site teams with familiarity in infrastructure or Oil & Gas projects being an added advantage.
Familiarity with construction progress tracking and reporting tools.
Good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and site safety practices.
Strong skills in project coordination and site supervision with a practical, hands-on approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and consultants.
Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Preferably possess a valid Class 3 license.
