Job Description

Checks and examines law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, initial and amended articlesGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESFollow the established procedures and guidelines of the legal profession to provide timely and effective support to a legal team. Draft correspondence, legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other legal documents geared toward general corporate practice. Assist with administrative matters. Draft memos, amendments, modifications to agreements, notice letters, statement of work, meeting notes, review of marketing materials and other tasks geared toward a corporate law environment. Organize and oversee legal files and materials so that they are easily accessed and retrievable without compromising the confidentiality or privacy of the information they contain. Assist with and managing various projects and assume additional responsibilities as required or assigned. In addition, may be responsible for the following:

  • May specialize in litigation, insurance, or corporation law.
  • May prepare real estate closing statement and assist in closing process.

  • May act as law librarian, keeping and monitoring legal volumes and ensuring legal volumes are up to date.
  • May search patent files to ascertain originality of patent application.
Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor's degree and paralegal certification.
  • At least 3 years of relevant corporate paralegal / legal assistant experience. Litigation management; management of calendar, dock, filings Corporate law practice, including contract management.
  • Ability to manage files and create file tracking, including contract data base management Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (including excel), Lotus
  • Ability to accurately read, draft and understand basic legal terms is critical.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented Self-starter, high energy and ability to work independently or with a team Ability to communicate and interface with a broad audience (including business partners outside of legal department) and management throughout the organization.
  • Must show willingness to learn new skills and areas of law and business practice
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: Php30,000.00 - Php45,000.00 per monthSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
Supplemental Pay:
  • 13th month salary
