Pastry Chef / Baker

Job Description

Develop and create new pastry and dessert recipes that is suitable for the cafe


Manage the production of pastries and desserts, ensuring that they are made to the highest standards. Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained in the pastry kitchen.

Work closely with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are prepared and delivered on time.

Manage inventory and ordering of pastry and dessert ingredients and supplies.

To help in the coffee area to make coffee and drinks when needed


Requirements:


Experience as a pastry chef, with a portfolio of pastries, cakes, and desserts preferred. A passion for pastry and desserts, with a desire to continuously improve and innovate. Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A diploma or degree in culinary arts or pastry/bakery studies is preferred. Basic food hygiene certificate Must be able to work on weekends/public holiday
