Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.
It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.
Position Summary
The Global Process Owner (GPO) function at Johnson & Johnson is focused on setting and managing the strategic agenda for the Payroll function, aligning stakeholders across the organization, changing behaviors, reinforcing cultural norms, and reinforcing the organizational brand across regions and functions. The GPO function leads end-to-end process communities (i.e. all stakeholders involved in the process) and governs end-to-end processes in alignment with functional and company policies. As owners of the end-to-end payroll process, the GPO has accountability for payroll projects to ensure they are adhering to the strategy and standards set globally. In addition to owning the end-to-end payroll process, the GPO is also focused on vendor management, driving process improvements, and establishing global/regional standards to the extent possible.
Given that the New Consumer Health business will be standing up an all-new payroll function, it is anticipated that the primary focus for the GPO function initially will be process standardization, optimization, and automation opportunities designed to streamline the payroll input process with third party payroll vendors, as well as developing tools to help cluster payroll teams with data collection and audits/reconciliations of payroll data.
The GPO Senior Analyst role will report into the GPO Director role and will work on a variety of tasks associated with the objectives outlined above. This will entail maintaining end-to-end processes globally, managing end-to-end process exceptions and governance process associated with exceptions, selecting performance metrics, and developing processes to collect and report on performance metrics. This role is expected to continuously analyze potential opportunities to improve payroll processes and to have a digital mindset, i.e. always looking for opportunities to leverage technology and digital capabilities to drive better outcomes.
