Direct Search Global is working with a fast-growing SGX-listed ship owner who has over 50 new-builds across the world and owns over 70 vessels to fill the role of Planning Engineer to be based in their Singapore office.

Who should apply?

An experienced planning engineer who has at least 5 years of relevant discipline in the marine industry. The suitable candidate must have the right attitude and is willing to learn new knowledge.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor progress of project from start to finish.
• Ensure work process adhere to project milestones and schedules.
• Identify critical paths and report early warnings to project team.
• Obtain weekly reports from respective shipyards.
• Generate reports to clients on a regular basis.
• Incorporate any approved changes and deviations from key project milestones and identification of alternate approaches to optimise the plans.

• Bachelor Degree in engineering disciplines or project management.
• Have a sound knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• With a meticulous and logical approach.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Be able to anticipate problems and provide effective solutions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills and be numerate.
