Job Description

Salt is looking for a Privacy Policy Manager for a 12-month contract role.

As a contractor, you will be the key point of contact on the APAC Privacy & Data policy team for product advice, responsible for driving and managing the implementation of multiple projects such as regional roundtables, consumer privacy awareness campaigns, side events at international privacy conferences etc.

What Will You Do:

• Provide support in establishing & executing project plans for external engagement initiatives.
• Managing and implementing APAC privacy policy teams initiatives and projects such as country-specific roundtables, APAC Experts Roundtables etc.
• Leading on implementing academic research project with academic institution
• Review legislative proposals or consultation papers and prepare submissions.
• Evaluate and provide guidance on the privacy policy implications of new products, features, and initiatives to Central Privacy & Data Policy team.
• Work with product managers, policy colleagues, lawyers, and others to help interdisciplinary teams simultaneously identify and address privacy policy challenges.
• Support on managing issues such as SEVs through coordinating with Central Privacy & Data policy team and XFN.
• Research and communicate privacy developments and trends to ensure the team is updated and able to take advantage of opportunities for advocacy.
• Track news, trends, and external conversations and sentiment of key influencers in the privacy community
• Streamline and execute internal communication strategies and channels for Privacy and Data Use, Public Policy team.
• Prepare presentations for delivery to specific audiences e.g., monthly updates, leadership monthly policy updates, and business updates.
• Prepare talking points for different engagements.

What Will You Need:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher
• 8+ years of professional experience in working on privacy-related issues
• Experience in and strong knowledge of Asia Pacific privacy law & policy environment and dynamics
• Prior regulatory experience is advantageous but not essential
• Experience with project management
• Experience with product counselling is preferred but not essential
