Job Description

:

We are looking for a PR and Communications expert to lead our story-telling agenda across Asia. The role will manage an "always-on" editorial calendar orchestrating our news across planned, opportunistic and reactive stories. He/she will work closely with PR, AR, executive and employee communications teams to plan the stories we want to tell and the channels we want to use. He/she will run a daily news bureau function. In addition, he/she will drive content creation to help tell Fortinet stories across different communication channels including video, social and external blogs.

Responsibilities:

• Tell a unified story across earned, owned and paid channels reaching the broadest set of customers, partners and influencers in the most impactful way possible.
• Lead the news bureau by thinking of creative and interesting ways to bring together the collective Fortinet story with a steady drumbeat of "always-on storytelling."
• Content creation: use storytelling and writing skills to translate Fortinet corporate narrative into content assets for social and traditional media placements (paid, earned, owned).
• Web Strategy: lead and develop content for Fortinet website and restructure current site for more optimized engagement.

Requirements:

• You are certainly a communication pro - a story-teller, a trusted advisor, adept at managing issues and active with social media.
• You're a news maker; you might have led a news team in a previous role or been a beat-reporter, rooting out, researching and writing stories you know your audience will care about. You love to write and have the ability to engage on-camera.
• You inspire trust and confidence in others; you're able to foster strong relationships at all levels in an organization; and you're quickly able to build an engaged network of colleagues who will help you land our priorities.
• 8+ years in technology public relations / corporate communications or related experience with a high-growth publicly held company. Deep content creation experience within the IT infrastructure software industry an advantage.
• Strategic, creative thinker and collaborator; able to manage and engage across multiple projects and develop positive relationships across the business.
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
• Superb ability to build long term trusted relationships with senior business leaders.
• Adept at both the art and science of PR - wonderful creativity combined with a clear head for business.
• Traditional media relations and social media expertise.
• BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
