Job Description

• Position: Preschool Principal
• Location: 2 Bus Stops from Little India or Novena MRT
• Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays | 44 hrs/week | 9am to 5:30pm
• Salary (Commensurate with experience): Up to $7,000 + AWS + Medical/Dental $350/year + 18 Days annual leave
• Duration: Permanent
• Industry: Education | International Preschool

Additional information:

• Opening Duty Supervision Session: 7am to 4pm (Twice a month to ensure Opening SOP and safety)
• Closing Duty Supervision Session: 9:30am to 7pm (Twice a month to ensure Closing SOP and safety)

Responsibilities: Educational Leadership:

• Implement IB curriculum that supports the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
• Ensure that the curriculum aligns with the requirements of the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) in Singapore.

Management and Administration:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare centre.
• Manage staff, including teachers and support personnel.
• Maintain records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Handle parent communication and concerns professionally.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that the childcare centre meets or exceeds all licensing and accreditation standards.
• Conduct regular safety drills and maintain a safe and secure environment for children.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance to maintain high-quality care.

Staff Development:

• Provide guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

• Must be a DPL Certified Childcare Principal
• Must be bilinggual in both English and Mandarin
• Minimum Degree in Early Childhood
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Experienced with Riggio Emilia Inspired Environment will be an added advantage
• Experienced with IB curriculum implementation will be an added advantage
• Candidates with IB teacher certificate 1 or 2 will have an added advantage
