Job Description


:Responsibilities:Strategy and Planning

  • Acquire qualified New-To-Bank customers through contacts, referrals from clients and business development activities locally specifically in the area of insurance and financial planning for legacy or retirement.
  • Procure new business through customer acquisition and manage relationships with existing customers alongside the relationship managers.
  • Engage other departments to get referral opportunities, planning of insurance new sales ideas, training of RMs in financial planning knowledge.
Business Performance and Management
  • Attuned to the current economic and financial markets by attending trainings so as to be current and proficient in addressing customer\'s queries.
  • Achieve individual sales targets for wealth management, treasury products and insurance.
  • Provide sound financial planning and insurance advice and dispensing customised solutions in alignment with the bank\'s standards and industry regulations.
  • Work towards Preferred Banking\'s intended goals.
  • Deliver client satisfaction through tailored solutions according to client objectives and service issue resolution.
  • Achieve service standards set by the bank.
People Management
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, outstanding ability to sell, strong writing and presentation skills, excellent negotiation, closing and follow-up skills.
  • Committed in the improvement of self towards becoming a good ambassador of CIMB Preferred.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Comply with all internal policies, procedures, processes as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Attend all trainings.
Requirements:Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in any discipline
Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing Requirements
  • Possess the relevant certifications, i.e., CLI, CGI, HI, M1B, M5, M6, M6A, M8, M8A, M9 and M9A
Relevant Work Experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant Sales experience in Retail Banking
Technical/Functional Skills
  • Strong understanding of financial compliance and regulatory requirements in Singapore
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Personal Skills (Soft Competencies)
  • Service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation, outstanding ability to sell
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, excellent negotiation, closing and follow-up skills
