Responsibilities

Ensure team compliance for quality assurance and customer provisions and criteria.

Continually improve quality and productivity for products and processes within cell.

Specify, justify and install capital projects in support of inspection requirements.

Provide technical support for safety and ergonomics within the area.

Work proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real-time problem-solving skills when working towards resolution.

Responsible for part print to completion of First Article Inspection and productionizing the process to obtain consistent quality and delivery.

Review and approve First Article Inspection.

Review and assess routings and work instruction in various forms to ensure compliance with engineering data to be used by the shop floor to produce quality parts.

Supports and facilitate use of robust tools to drive business efficiencies and improvements; support in investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action solutions as needed; utilizes turn-back data to drive the identification of critical systemic issues; leads a regular corrective action board (CAB) meeting.

Supports conformance to established procedures on part manufacturing, material control, supplier control, engineering source approval and laboratory testing to customer requirements.

Participate and implement continuous improvement for established processes for further improvement of quality, speed and cost.

Supports Quality Manager in establishing a robust and independent quality system to monitor compliance to AS9100 and P&W requirements.

Participate and support companywide EHS, Quality, Export Compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Eng, Quality Eng, Supply Chain / Quality Management, or Industrial Engineering.

Auditing experiences (ISO9001, AS9100, and/or AS9110) preferred.

Understand and experience in data analysis, statistical process control, and quality metrics.

Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Engineering Source Approval process.

Highly motivated and innovative individual who is meticulous.

Able to work in a team and independently.

Ability to interact with all levels and external suppliers.

Good communications and interpersonal skills with strong quality leadership.
