We are looking for a dynamic, experienced senior finance manager with a proven track record to join the CapE team. This role will be key to proactively guide and govern process enablement and compliance for the Volume Licensing “VL” business. You will be responsible for leading and supporting process re-design, remediation, exploration with key representatives from Operations, Business, Engineering, Product and other Finance teams to operationalize solutions and enable a smooth billing experience for VL customers, partners and internal teams while supporting the business goal of an accelerated business transformation. Responsibilities

The VL Process Enablement and Compliance Controller controller is a trusted financial advisor to Microsoft Business Operations and other organizations to drive and enable Volume Licensing business process excellence and business transformation. This role is responsible for:

• Process review, re-design and improvements in the end-to-end Quote to Cash billing process for quality financial compliance, with an emphasis on scenarios of transitioning between Classic and Modern VL
• Actively partner Microsoft Business Operations on billing improvement initiatives for quality financial compliance
• Provide analysis for billing improvement initiatives on root cause, financial impact and project ROI/KPIs.
• Key Compliance in Asia to support VL SOX audits, risk assessments, month end and quarter end close activities
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and data analytics support team to bring financial insights in the end-to-end process assessment, issue resolution and improvement.
• Proactively drive identification of process gaps or conflicts and align with VL Program owners, compliance and governance councils and enable operationalization towards the best outcome.
• Provide leadership and guidance to broader finance community to resolve significant billing issues to mitigate financial risks, educate and align policy and governance models for effective business model implementation.
• Lead key strategic projects and initiatives and supporting new business model development.
• Actively work with Operations and other stakeholder teams to accelerate the transformation of VL Business to Modern Commerce business model and platforms.

Qualifications

Basic required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and or related field, and 6+ years of finance or process excellence experience (or equivalent experience)
• Master’s degree in Finance or related field, and 4+ years of finance or process excellence experience (or equivalent experience)

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in public accounting, internal audit or compliance. 6 years’ prior experience in client service/consulting controllership/finance, Lead-to-Order and Order-to-Cash a plus.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in designing new processes, systems and controls
• Advanced degrees and professional certifications such as CPA, CFE, CIA, MBA, ACCA, CIMA
