Job Description

• Assists Project Manager in the coordination of project management activities to ensure that projects are executed in a smooth and effective manner
• Coordinates and supervises construction activities, including identifying and solving problems related to site as well as planning and co-ordinating technical or site issues;
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during construction, as well as the methods and techniques of works;
• Keep alert to possible problem areas and take preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project. Prepares and maintains construction schedule;
• Assists the Project Manager in carrying out a risk assessment and other risk management activities;
• Schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process;
• Review, monitor and control the services, qualities and performances of all subcontractors as well as major construction equipment required by the project to be available at the appropriate time to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
• Ensures all contractors are safely inducted and issued with Permits before work commencement;
• Ensures the adherence to the safe work procedure (SWP) established;
• Resolves site problems proactively in a timely manner and seeks advice from the Project Manager as appropriate;
• Ensures the timely preparation of project progress and other reports;
• Follows up on all aspects of QA/QC matters;
• Co-ordinates daily activities of workers’ duties and to ensures that they are performed in a proper manner
• Encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately;
• Maintains an organized work site, including the construction office.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in building construction
• Possess the relevant safety certifications like SCWSH / BCSS
