Project Engineer (Electrical & Electronics)

Full-time (5.5-day week; alternate Saturdays)

Hours:

Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm; Alt Sat 8:00am-12:00pm (occasional after-hours work)

Salary:

Gross

S$4,500-5,000/month;

Basic

About the Role

You'll manage electrical project engineering from planning to close-out, ensuring compliance with codes/standards, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering safe, quality outcomes across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and verify progress claims (including subcontractors) Monitor and plan allocation of manpower, machinery and materials across projects Ensure all electrical installation, testing and monitoring comply with applicable codes/standards and company procedures Perform QA inspections to meet client requirements and specifications Prepare O&M manuals upon project completion Manage and coordinate workers, subcontractors, materials and equipment Attend technical/coordination/progress meetings with clients and stakeholders Participate in electrical design; read and interpret electrical drawings Size main cables, distribution boards and switchboards; perform HT/LV load calculations Coordinate power requirements with other disciplines Execute detailed electrical engineering tasks (e.g., load studies, transformer & MCC sizing, short-circuit studies, motor starting analysis, protection relay coordination, terminations, layouts, hazardous area classification, BoM, technical bid evaluation and procurement)
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related) 3+ years' relevant project engineering experience in construction/M&E Proficient in reading electrical drawings and preparing technical documentation Knowledge of HT/LV network design, cable/switchboard sizing, protection coordination, short-circuit and motor starting studies Familiarity with local codes/standards (advantage) Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills Proficient in English for site safety, documentation and client communication
