You will combine strategic planning with operational production and management skills to create impactful video promotions.You will be instrumental in crafting and delivering a range of promotional content, collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders within the newsroom, including News Shows, Features, Digital and Communications & Marketing teams to ensure alignment with both team objectives and broader network-wide goals. Your ability to navigate these relationships and integrate feedback will be essential in delivering cohesive and effective promotional campaigns.This role is primarily office-based and involves direct oversight of a team member. You will be responsible for managing this direct report by setting clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and fostering their professional development to achieve both individual and team success.In addition to your core responsibilities, you will stay abreast of industry trends and audience insights to continually refine and enhance promotional strategies, ensuring that CNBC International remains at the forefront of media innovation and audience engagement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a strategic approach for promotions across multiple platforms, including setting priorities for topics, formats and platforms
  • Produce promotional content to support News and Features teams, ensuring it is aired both within shows and during commercial breaks
  • Address the needs of key stakeholders, including Digital, Events, and Communications & Marketing teams by creating and executing promotional solutions for high-priority content
  • Respond promptly to daily demands and news events to ensure timely creation and delivery of promotions for exclusive or high-priority content, such as news making interviews and outside broadcasts
  • Develop promotional strategies that enhance show brands and franchises, optimizing content on both TV and Digital platforms
  • Oversee a direct report by setting clear goals, deliverables and priorities; providing regular feedback, and supporting their ongoing training and professional development
  • Represent the Promotions team in editorial planning, identifying opportunities to showcase original and distinctive content, interviews, and storytelling
  • Work closely with production teams and graphic artists to develop, write and produce original and creative promos for news events, shows and editorial franchises
  • Write compelling scripts, edit videos, and produce promos within established deadlines
  • Coordinate with show producers, on-air presenters, reporters, and camera crews during filming and occasionally participate in shoots with production teams to ensure all promotional elements are captured
  • Liaise with social media producers to optimize social media reach and analyze performance metrics to refine content formats
  • Work with Scheduling and Transmission teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate on-air playout of promotions
  • Support in producing promotions for non-editorial purposes, such as brand marketing campaigns and generic brand sizzles
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues across NBCUniversal News group, staying informed about best practices and the latest developments in content strategy and production
QualificationsESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • More than 5 years\' experience in producing, scripting and editing video content
  • Strong understanding of CNBC\'s brand, tone and target audiences
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, corporations, economic indicators, geopolitics and key newsmakers to plan and produce impactful promotions
  • Strong knowledge of broadcast and digital trends, especially impacting news and business
  • Proficient in developing creative concepts and applying technical skills to produce compelling promotional videos
  • Expertise in scripting, producing and editing high-quality video content
  • Creative thinker with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to bring ideas to fruition
  • Proven ability to analyze briefs and develop creative solutions
  • Strategic thinker capable of aligning actions with shared objectives
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Skilled at assessing multiple demands and communicating priorities based on objectives
  • Competent in working collaboratively across time zones and regions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • Experience in people management and leading small teams and projects
  • Good knowledge of GV Edius, Stratus, Adobe Premiere and iNews
  • Ability and willingness to attend outside broadcasts or shoots on location
