The Role

Position summary statement:

• Responsible for keeping hotel premises and restrooms in a clean, orderly and well-maintained condition. The Public Area Attendant is responsible for the immaculate upkeep and cleanliness of guest areas and guest corridor, presenting a clean and welcoming environment. He/she will always provide sufficient supplies in every guest areas and attends to guest requests.

• Responsible for cleanliness of public area ensures hotel lobby, restaurants, guest floors, corridors and public areas are immaculate, clean and comfortable.

• Sweeps, scrubs and mop floors. Polishes glass partitions and brass fixtures in areas as assigned by Housekeeping Team Leader.

• Conducts frequent checks of all washrooms. Cleans all washrooms and replenishes amenities as required.

• Vacuum carpet, hard floors. Cleans wall covering, wall, furniture, fixture decorative items, cleans glass doors etc.

• Upholstery using the appropriate machine and chemical attachments.

• Ensuring economical use while replenishing supplies into restrooms.

• Carries out correct procedure for rubbish disposal.

• Reports all defects and update superior.

• Turn in all loss and found immediately to housekeeping office and update superior.

• Responsible for correct care and maintenance of all machinery and tools issued.

• Responsible for tidy appearance of work trolleys and pantry.

• Carries out thorough cleaning or crash programme when assigned.

• Ensures substores are clean and orderly.

• Reports any suspicious/unusual behavior of guest/staff.

• Ensures all assigned tasks are completed before the end of shift.

• Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Management.

• Minimum \'N\' Level Educational Qualification
• Experienced in public area cleaning
• Minimum of 3 years as a Public Area Attendant and at least 1 year experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor
• A team player.
• Good communication skills.
• Good leadership qualities.
• Ability to conduct training.
