Work with the Head of Procurement to source new suppliers and service providers.
Work with the Head of Procurement to negotiate new contracts and agreements.
Proactively engage routine platform business updates of selected categories
Conduct demand analysis, monitor market trends and supplier development.
Conduct on site supplier audits and supplier performance reviews.
Track and manage suppliers compliance to terms of contracts and agreements.
Fostering and managing supplier relationships to secure tangible results.
Resolve major supplier disputes.
Assessing future needs and requirements with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as purchaser with a Ship Owner or Ship Manager, and at least 5 years of experience of specific Category Management.
Diploma in related discipline (i.e. Supply Chain,Logistics, Purchasing etc), Degree preferred.
Strong knowledge in pricing, product, and/or category management, candidates with experience in ship supply.
High sense of integrity and resourcefulness
Good communication skills - written and spoken English.
Attention to details and ability to meet deadlines.
Travel
Based in Singapore, the candidate is expected to be able to visit their assigned vendors locally or overseas as required.
