Rapsodo Inc. is a sports analytics company that uses computer vision and machine learning to help all athletes maximize their performance. Our proprietary technology applications range from helping PGA Tour golfers optimize their launch conditions to allowing MLB pitchers to increase the efficiency of their breaking balls. Current partners include all 30 MLB teams, MLB, USA Baseball, Golf Digest, PGA of America, and over 1000 NCAA athletic departments.

We are actively seeking a Purchaser who is able to process purchasing requisitions from the managers in the field and turn those requisitions into purchase orders. The incumbent will be responsible for creating purchase order tracking systems, alerting management when orders have been filled and invoices from vendors have been issued, answering vendor questions and providing them with additional documentation as needed.

The successful candidate for this position preferably should have experience within the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may have an impact on business operations
• Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
• Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
• Provide analysis on costs, new and existing, and review cost reduction activities
• Prepare reports and updates as and when required
• Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
• Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers
• Review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
• Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships
• Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
• Conduct research for new components and suppliers
• Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation
• Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues

• Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience preferably within a manufacturing environment. Individuals with more years of experience will be considered for Senior Purchaser.
• Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
• Able to add value, reduce costs and inputs to business improvements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP would be advantageous
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-cultural environment
