Job Description


Quant Feeds & Platform Specialists have acquired and in-depth knowledge & skillset for Quant Feeds & Platform products; and provides subject matter expert product support for the end-to-end customer life cycle, from pre-sales support through to retention activities.
Your strong communication skills enable you to convey the benefits, insights, functionality and usability of our solutions. Your deep product knowledge and analysis skills will lead to your significant contribution to growing our proposition internally and externally.

  • Provide direct specialized customer service support to analysts, researchers, data scientists, developers and quants at the world's largest and most prominent investment firms, banks and hedge funds

  • Build effective relationship with the prospective/current customer by intimately understanding and addressing client’s data, workflow and technical requirements and engaging with them throughout the support process

  • Assist clients in understanding, extracting and correctly using Refinitiv and third-party data from a solution suite

  • Troubleshoot, research, code scripts, and answer client inquiries on content and API or bulk feed technology and capabilities. Work with internal and external parties, including vendors, content specialists, developers and product managers, through to resolution

  • Build and foster long term relationships with existing clients through training, client meetings, implementation support, case management, and timely assistance in their financial research project and model development needs

  • Meet with Sales and prospective customers, gather product and integration requirements, demonstrate various aspects of the platform, and proactively carry out the content onboarding activities for new or expanded customers

  • Relationships with Sales and Client equally strong where Senior Product Specialist is the #1 person advising on this account and demonstrates great accountability tracking outstanding cases to efficient resolution - Sales brings in PPOC on new issues and opportunities at the account.

  • Python/Coding Skill level must meet these requirements:

    • Specialists should be comfortable reading/interpreting Python code with correlated subqueries and date functions.

    • Specialists are building custom queries, modifying existing Python Library queries, and adding more to the library given client work

    • Consistently meets KPI expectations on Service Pulses and Call and Ticket Reviews

  • Specialist, experienced professional with extensive knowledge and skills gained through wide-ranging experiences in a field that requires diverse practices or procedures

  • Solves complex problems which may be multidisciplinary or require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

  • Certifications within first year of Senior Product Specialist include:

    • Python Certification (optional)

    • CFA (optional)

    • Access to Experts Data Samples (required)

    • Access to Experts Coverage Check (required)

    • Demo Giver (Required for pre-sales specialization)

    • 10 Content set specific training sessions and best practice test (required)

    • At least one Content Professional Pathway (required)

    • Proficient Primary Point of Contact (via case management and sales/client feedback, required)

    • Cloud Certification (Product management series, required)

    • Project Management (first 4 series, required)

  • Growth Mindset includes:

    • Continued upskilling and decision-making

    • Increased network exposure such as Sales Mgrs/Market Dev/Proposition/Partnerships/Shared Services

    • Apply experience to bring unique value

    • PPOC relationship is highly trusted and approaching dedicated, and/or picks up more accounts handled with skilled proficiency and/or more challenging accounts

    • Can work independently on a Chargeable Support / Consultant statement of work with modest direction

    • Deepens or adds to the incoming requirement of being certified in at least 2 subject matter expert specialization areas such as coding/pre-sales/content/etc. and affects business process improvement through the specialization (new collateral, training, process, etc.)

    • Appetite for project work to gain wider network or diverse utilization of toolkit
